We are very proud to say that Faerly won the Sustainability Award at the 2023 Irish Ecommerce Awards. It's our second year in a row to take home this award and to saw we're delighted is an understatement.
This isn’t just a win for us. Winning this award feels like a big group hug. It's a collective "well done" to our community of makers who make such amazing products that genuinely make a difference. It's for our lovely customers, who actively choose to support Irish and who consciously choose to support a greener, more ethical lifestyle. And of course, it's for us too; our little dream team of James, Eoin and Nuria and we are just delighted.
Celebrating Three Years in Business
This month marks Faerly's third year in business, and we couldn't have asked for a more fitting way to celebrate this milestone. The judges commented that Faerly "offers a nice mix of sustainable initiatives rooted in eco-friendly products and presents both great statistics and an approach to scaling that really delivers on the need for sustainable solutions."
Sustainability at the Heart of Faerly
When we say we're committed to sustainability, we really mean it. Every package you receive from us is 100% plastic-free, and for every order placed, we plant a tree. We choose makers who align with our values of quality and sustainability, encouraging a move away from unnecessary chemicals and plastics.
A Special Night in Dublin
The ceremony took place at the venerable Mansion House in Dublin. The annual event honours the outstanding achievements of Ireland’s online retail community. A panel of judges, featuring experts from Tik Tok, ASOS, Britvic and AIB Merchant Services, had the challenging task of selecting winners. Thanks to AIB Merchant Services for sponsoring the event and to Miya Knights for presenting us with this prestigious award. The evening was made even more enjoyable by the fantastic hosting of Emer Maguire and Síle Seoige.
Congrats to Irish Socksciety too!
Of course, it wasn't just us who left the evening with something to celebrate. Congratulations to Joanna and Alex from Irish Socksciety, who received the Highly Commended Award for Fashion & Footwear Website of the Year.
What's next?
This recognition comes just as we're gearing up for what promises to be a busy Christmas season.
