These are fragrance ingredients commonly used in candles and perfumes. 2,4-Dimethyl-3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde (often called Triplal) smells green and leafy, like crushed leaves or lily of the valley. 3-(o & p-ethylphenyl)-2,2-dimethylpropionaldehyde is a perfumery aldehyde that gives a fresh, floral-green lift and helps the scent project. 4-tert-Butylcyclohexyl acetate adds a smooth muguet-style floral note with a soft woody edge. Acetyl cedrene brings warm cedar/amber woodiness and helps the fragrance last. Alpha-pinenes occur naturally in pine needles, rosemary and eucalyptus and smell crisp and pine-fresh. L-limonene and limonene come from citrus peel and add bright, zesty top notes. L-menthanone (menthone) is a minty component from peppermint and spearmint that gives a cool, refreshing lift.
