Ingredients:
Contains 2,4-DIMETHYL-3-CYCLOHEXENE CARBOXALDEHYDE, ALPHAPINENES, CIS-3-HEXENYL METHYL CARBONATE, DIHYDRO PENTAMETHYLINDANONE (DPMI), EUCALYPTOL, EUGENOL, ISOCYCLOCITRAL.
In plain English:
These are fragrance ingredients commonly used in candles and perfumes. Alpha-pinene occurs naturally in pine needles, rosemary and eucalyptus, giving a fresh, pine-like scent. Eucalyptol (also called cineole) comes from eucalyptus leaves and smells fresh and camphor-like. Eugenol is naturally present in cloves and contributes a warm, spicy-clove note. Cis-3-hexenyl methyl carbonate gives a fresh green, cut-grass or leafy note. Dihydro pentamethylindanone (DPMI) provides a soft amber-woody tone and helps the scent last. Isocyclocitral adds a crisp green, citrus-leaf nuance. 2,4-Dimethyl-3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde (often called Triplal) has a green, leafy fragrance, like crushed leaves.
Precautions:
Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. May cause an allergic skin reaction.
In plain English:
This is standard safety wording required by law for many natural fragrance ingredients. It doesn’t mean the product is unsafe to use. It simply means you shouldn’t pour contents into waterways, and a small number of people with very sensitive skin may react if they touch the oils directly.
