Refill granules for the Aarke Purifier and Purifier Large, in three types so you can match the filter to your water and how you drink it. Pour a bag into the stainless steel cartridge and you're set for four weeks, with no plastic cartridge to throw away.
- Three refill bags, each filtering up to 120 litres or lasting up to 4 weeks
- Pure, Enriched or Boost, depending on your water and what you use it for
- Fits both the Aarke Purifier and Purifier Large
- Refills a reusable stainless steel cartridge, so there are no plastic cartridges to bin
- Developed with BWT, the Austrian water technology company, and made in Austria
Which granules are right for you?
Pure is the everyday choice for hard water. It reduces limescale, chlorine and heavy metals such as lead and copper, for softer, better-tasting water. Less limescale also means less build-up in your kettle and coffee maker.
Enriched is made for soft water. It reduces chlorine and heavy metals, then adds magnesium and raises the pH as high as 8.5 (from tap water at pH 7.0), giving you mineralised, alkaline water. It doesn't reduce limescale, so if your kettle furs up, Pure or Boost is the better pick.
Boost is for hard water and anyone who takes their coffee or tea seriously. Like Pure, it reduces limescale, chlorine and heavy metals, then adds magnesium and zinc. Mineralised water helps bring out the flavours and aromas in coffee and tea, and your kettle stays clear of scale.
Whichever you choose, the granules go into the Purifier's refillable stainless steel cartridge rather than a sealed plastic one. When a bag is used up, you empty the cartridge and refill it, and the cartridge itself goes in the dishwasher.
How to use
- Twist off the bottom of the stainless steel cartridge, empty out the used granules and give the cartridge a wash.
- Pour in a full bag of granules and twist the bottom back on.
- Soak the filled cartridge in a jug of water for 5 minutes, then pour that water away.
- Fit the cartridge in your Purifier, fill the carafe at the tap and let it filter through. It takes 3 to 5 minutes per litre.
- Change the granules every 4 weeks or 120 litres, whichever comes first. The dial on the lid helps you keep track.
Compatibility
Fits the Aarke Purifier (1.18 litres) and Purifier Large (1.66 litres). The granules are made for Aarke's refillable cartridge and won't work in other filter jugs.

Good to know
- Do they remove fluoride or microplastics? No. The Purifier isn't designed to remove fluoride, microplastics, nitrates, viruses or pharmaceutical residues. It's made to reduce limescale (Pure and Boost), chlorine and heavy metals such as lead and copper.
- What do I do with used granules? They aren't compostable, so they go in your general waste. The box is recyclable paper, and the bags are recyclable plastic.
- Storing them: keep unopened bags sealed, somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
Why We Love This Brand
