Donagh describes it as slightly zesty, spicy and very earthy, like fresh cut grass and hay at the end of a long summer.

Start with the shower gel, then smooth on the lotion while your skin is still warm. The lotion is light and milky and soaks in quickly, so you're not waiting around before getting dressed.

The shower gel foams gently and leaves skin soft and refreshed, and using the two together gives noticeably softer, hydrated skin. Boxed and ready to give, it's an easy present for anyone who prefers fresh and spicy scents to sweet, floral ones.

How to use

Shower gel: on wet skin, lather one or two pumps and rinse.
Body lotion: apply to warm, freshly washed skin, working upwards from your feet.

About the Maker

The Handmade Soap Company is run by husband and wife Donagh and Gemma Quigley from a restored mill in Slane, Co. Meath. They started in 2010 with two pots and a soap mould, and they still make and fill everything themselves. They're a certified B Corp, and Lemongrass & Cedarwood is the scent most people know them for.
