Pour it under the running tap and the bath fills with soft bubbles and a grounding scent. Use less for a lighter bath; the formula is concentrated enough that a 500ml bottle lasts a good few baths.

Lemongrass gives it a bright, zesty lift and cedarwood keeps it warm and woody underneath, with geranium and patchouli rounding it off. It's fresh enough for a weekend morning, and grounding enough for a long soak at the end of a busy day.

It's from the same Lemongrass & Cedarwood range as the hand wash and body care set, if you like everything in the bathroom to match. It's a nice one to give, too, on its own or with a soap bar or hand cream in the same scent.

How to use

Pour a generous amount under warm running water. Sink in and relax. For a lighter bath, use less. Keep it away from your eyes; if it gets in, rinse well with water. When the bottle is empty, rinse it out and put it in your recycling.

About the Maker

The Handmade Soap Company is run by husband and wife Donagh and Gemma Quigley from a restored mill in Slane, Co. Meath. They started in 2010 with two pots and a soap mould, and they still make and fill everything themselves. They're a certified B Corp, and Lemongrass & Cedarwood is the scent most people know them for.
