A handy coconut fibre brush for all kinds of kitchen scrubbing: pots and pans, dishes, vegetables and general cleaning.
- Natural coconut fibre
- For dishes, pots, pans and vegetables
- Natural and biodegradable material
- Hard-wearing and long-lasting
- Made in Sri Lanka by an SA8000-certified, socially responsible company
This is the sort of brush that ends up doing everything, from scrubbing potatoes to shifting stuck-on food from a casserole dish. Coconut fibre is tough but flexible, so it gets into corners and keeps its shape for a long time.
It's a plant-based alternative to plastic or steel scrapers. The fibres are firm enough to lift dried-on food and muddy skins, and they flex to follow the curve of a pan.
Outside the kitchen it's a good one to keep under the sink for scrubbing the sink itself, the draining board, garden pots or muddy boots. Many people keep one brush for food and one for everything else.
SA8000 is an international standard for fair working conditions, covering things like wages, working hours and health and safety, so you know it was made by a company that looks after its people.
How to use
Use with hot water, and washing-up liquid if needed. Rinse after use under clear water, shake off the excess and leave to dry in the air. Hanging it up or standing it on its side helps it dry faster between uses.
Materials
Coconut fibre.
