Two knitted copper scourers for pans, pots and sinks. Copper cleans well but doesn't scratch the way steel can, and it won't rust.
- 100% knitted copper wire
- For pans, pots, sinks and baked-on grime
- Doesn't scratch and doesn't rust
- Copper is recyclable
- Made in Europe
Copper scourers are a good middle ground between a sponge and steel wool: tough on stuck-on food but gentler on your cookware. When they're finally worn out, the copper can be recycled.
Copper is a softer metal than steel, so it lifts burnt-on porridge, baked-on roasting tin residue and scorched rice without leaving the fine scratches steel wool can. And because copper doesn't rust, there are no orange stains left in the sink or on the draining board.
They're good on stainless steel pans, enamel, glass oven dishes and the sink itself. With two in the pack you can keep one by the sink and one for the oven trays or barbecue grill.
Unlike plastic scourers, there's nothing here that sheds microplastics into the water. Made in Europe from copper wire.
How to use
Use with hot water and washing-up liquid. Rinse after use and leave to dry. Not for non-stick or other delicate coatings. If you're unsure about a surface, try it on a small hidden area first. When the scourer has worn thin, take it to a metal recycling point at your local recycling centre rather than putting it in the bin.
