Fragrance ingredients explained
This product contains a blend of fragrance notes created to give it its distinctive scent. Some of these are nature-inspired ingredients that are made in a lab to ensure consistency and safety.
- Tetramethylacetyloctahydronaphthalenes – adds a musky, woody base note that gives the fragrance depth and warmth.
- 3,4,5,6,6-Pentamethylhept-3-En-2-One (and isomers) – brings a sweet, fruity tone that complements fig-like notes.
- Cyclamen Aldehyde – a fresh, clean floral note with watery green undertones.
- Hydroxycitronellal – contributes a soft, jasmine-like floral character.
- Linalool – a naturally occurring floral scent with lavender and citrus tones.
These ingredients are commonly used in perfumes, candles and home fragrance. They are classed as safe under EU fragrance regulations, though, like any perfume ingredient, a small number of people with very sensitive skin may find them irritating if applied directly.
