A corked glass bottle of 150 long matches, labelled with JOY in bold red type and a gold foil shadow. Green dyed matchsticks with white tips, so it looks as good open as it does closed.
- 150 matches, each 100mm long
- Green dyed matchsticks with white tips
- Strikes on the base of the bottle
- JOY in red type with gold foil detailing
- Cork and glass, both fully recyclable
- Made in the UK
Long matches earn their place through the winter. They reach down into a jar candle without singeing your fingers, and they last long enough to light a fire without a second attempt.
The bottle is meant to be seen. It works on a kitchen shelf, a bathroom ledge or beside the candles, and unlike a box of matches it will not end up buried in a drawer.
The labels are digitally printed and die cut in Scotland, and both the bottle and the cork are recyclable once the matches are gone.
How to use
Pull the cork, take a match, and strike it gently on the base of the bottle. Strike away from you, over a non-combustible surface.
Materials
Glass bottle with a cork stopper and a digitally printed, die-cut label with gold foil detailing. Inside are 150 green dyed matchsticks, each 100mm long, with white tips. The striking surface is on the base of the bottle. The glass and cork are both recyclable.
Safety
These matches are made from natural products and may contain inherent structural flaws. Archivist test the matches but cannot test every one, so strike gently and away from you. Keep out of reach of children.
