Refilling means you keep using the pump bottle you already have instead of buying a new one each time. The pouch uses an estimated 60 to 70% less plastic than a new bottle.

Same warm, earthy scent as the 250ml bottle: spicy coriander seed, a floral lift of geranium and calm, earthy vetiver. It foams up nicely, leaves hands soft rather than tight, and suits all skin types, sensitive included.

The pouch is PET and the lid is HDPE, two of the easiest plastics to recycle, so once it's empty and rinsed both can go straight in your recycling bin.

How to use

Take the pump off your empty bottle, pour in the refill and put the pump back on. Then pump once into your hand, massage into a lather and rinse. Keep it away from your eyes; if it gets in, rinse well with water. When the pouch is empty, rinse it and put the bag and lid in your household recycling.

About the Maker

The Handmade Soap Company is run by husband and wife Donagh and Gemma Quigley from a restored mill in Slane, Co. Meath. They started in 2010 with two pots and a soap mould, and they still make and fill everything themselves. They're a certified B Corp, and Lemongrass & Cedarwood is the scent most people know them for.
