Memory games are one of the easiest ways to get the whole family round the table, from small children who are just learning to match to grown-ups who think they'll win easily. The cards are 6cm across, a good size for small hands to pick up and turn over.
It's easy to make the game fit the players. For younger children, start with the cards face up and simply find the matching pairs, then try it face down with just six or eight pairs. Once everyone has the hang of it, use all 12 pairs and see who can remember where each animal is hiding.
Naming each animal as you turn it over helps little ones remember, and it's a gentle way to practise waiting for a turn and losing gracefully. The cards take up very little room, so they're handy for a café table, a long car journey or a wet day at home.
How to play
Mix up the cards and lay them all face down. Take turns to flip over two cards. If they match, keep the pair and go again. If not, turn them back over and the next player has a go. The player with the most pairs at the end wins.
Care: keep the cards dry and store them flat so they stay easy to shuffle.

Why We Love This Brand
Rex London started in 1981 as a market stall on Portobello Road, where founders Rob and Eri sold things they had found on their travels in Asia. Today their own illustrators and buyers design everything in house, and colour runs through all of it. We like them for gifts that make everyday things a bit less ordinary.
