Two everyday scrubbing sponges for washing up and general cleaning: a green scrubbing side for stuck-on food and a soft plant cellulose sponge for wiping.
- Plant cellulose sponge, made in France
- Green scrubbing side for everyday jobs
- Scrubbing layer made from recycled plastic bottles
- For kitchen and bathroom
- Machine washable at 40°C
- Pack of two
A straightforward swap for the standard yellow and green sponge. The sponge is plant cellulose and the scrubbing layer is made in Europe from recycled plastic bottles.
The usual supermarket sponge is foam made from new plastic. Here the soft side is more than 90% plant cellulose, which soaks up water well and wrings out easily, and the scrubbing side gives a second life to plastic bottles.
They're made in a European factory certified to ISO 14001, an international standard for managing environmental impact, and come with a recycled paper band rather than a plastic wrapper.
Use them in the kitchen for plates, pots, worktops and the sink, or in the bathroom for the bath, shower tray and basin. Because they can go in the washing machine, you can freshen them up and keep using them for longer rather than binning them once they start to smell.
How to use
Use the green side to scrub and the sponge side to wipe and soak up. The green side can scratch, so avoid delicate surfaces. Rinse after use and leave to dry. Wash in the machine at 40°C to freshen up, and rinse well before first use.
