This traditional enamel soap holder is made from porcelain fused onto heavy-gauge steel, giving it many admirable qualities. This enamelware will not break if dropped but characterful chips may appear to add a unique, charming rustic look. The steel will naturally oxidize, but the enamelware will remain safe to use. This is part of the charm of a traditional enameled product and in our opinion gives it a little more character. You can touch up any exposed steel with an enamel touch up paint from a DIY or Art Supplies store.
